Crockpot Pizza Chicken

Its crock pot pizza that you throw together before you go to work and then come home and have yummy pizza in a pot.
Ingredients -
8 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/8 Teaspoon Pepper
1 Onion (chopped)
2 Bell Peppers (cut into 1 inch pieces)
2 Cups Pasta Sauce
1 Cup Pizza Cheese
Cooked Pasta or Rice
 
Preparation:

1. Cook preferred pasta or rice according to package directions.

2. Salt and pepper the chicken to taste and then place in the 3 to 4 quart crock pot.

3. Cover with the bell peppers and onions and douse with the all of the pasta sauce in the crock pot.

4. Cover and cook it on low for 4-5 hours or until chicken is thoroughly cooked.

5. Stir it up then sprinkle cheese all over it.

6. Let it stand for 5 minutes and let all the cheese melt.

7. Serve it over cooked pasta or rice.

This recipe is great if at the last 15 minutes you also sprinkle 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese. It gets golden brown and the more cheese the better in my book.

This dish is a great side dish or as a main dish. It saves in the fridge for up to a week so you can make it and it’s great because you can also make patties out of it and fry them up. They are super and different.
